Diamonds are forever…

Diamonds fascinate me and I have done a little research on their history.  Diamonds were first discovered in India over 2000 years ago. The word “diamond” comes from the Greek word “Adams” which means unconquerable. Diamonds are the hardest known substance on earth, and only a diamond can cut another diamond. And it takes a VERY long time, one of the reaons they cost so much.

In Greek mythology diamonds were the shed tears of the gods. Roman mythology tells us that diamonds were splinters from the stars that the god of Love, Eros, made into tips for his arrows. The popularity of diamond engagement rings bloomed after 1744, when Archduke Maximillian of Austria presented one to his sweetheart, Mary of Burgundy.

So if you need diamond rings for your beloved, check out and www.mysolitaire.com

As well as a great range of styles and build your own options, they offer buy back and trade up options, something that is becoming more common in diamond retail.

They have a good range of products - everything from children’s jewelery, to dress jewelery to wedding rings.

Their prices look pretty competitive, plus they have some special offers, interest free payment plans and free shipping. Their 30 day returns policy lets you buy with confidence.

Be sure to check out the Knowledge Centre and find out about the importance of cut, colour and clarity when choosing your diamond.
